Celebrate summer at the Member Pool Party June 17!

Join us for our annual summer pool party on June 17 from 4:30 to 8 pm.  Buffalo Wild Wings is generously providing boneless wings and chips for dinner and Kona Ice Marion County Southwest will serve up shaved ice for dessert.  Proceeds from the meals will benefit the Annual Campaign.  Dinner tickets are $5.  The party is FREE for members to enjoy, so come celebrate summer Baxter Y-style!  Save the date for our July 14 pool party.

Saturday: 11 am – 6:45 pm
Sunday: 11 am – 5:45 pm
Monday (Memorial Day): 11 am – 5:45 pm
Tuesday – Friday: 3 pm – 8 pm (enter through the building before 3 pm)

Open Swim Hours:

Saturday: 11 am – 6:45 pm
Sunday: 11 am – 5:45 pm
Monday (Memorial Day) 11 am – 5:45 pm
Tuesday-Friday: 11 am – 8 pm
*This includes the Wade Pool.


Summer Session is coming your way!

Say hello to Summer with YMCA programming!!!  You can now register for Summer Session I at the Member Services Desk.  Programs begin June 1.  Here’s a small sample of all the programs with have lined up for Y members young and old.

Adult Outdoor Basketball League

Hit the courts with us this summer! Our outdoor basketball league will take place July 13 – August 1 and is for adults 19 and older. There will be two divisions: 19-29 and 30+. Adults 30+ may play in the 19-29 league. Games will be held on Saturday afternoons, with the exception of July 4. Sign up as a team with 6 or more players. Champions will be awarded shirts. Cost is $225 for a team and $55 for an individual. Register a the member services desk.

Ben Elo Soccer Camp: June 15-19

If you have a soccer player in grades 3 through 12, check out the Ben Elo Soccer Camp June 15 through 19.  Coaches from local colleges will be available to work with your star player!  For more information, click here

Summer Day Camp + Summer Swim Lessons = Super Summer!

Is your child signed up for Summer Day Camp? Let your child’s Camp Counselor bring her to Swim Lessons during the camp day. Classes will be offered 2 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Feel the need for speed? Try Track and Field!

Mark your calendars!  The 2nd annual All-City Track and Field Meet will be held on Saturday, June 6. Practice begins mid-April. Let’s bring the trophy home to Baxter! Register at the Member Services Desk.

School will be out soon, but the time for ADVENTURE has just begun! At our Y Day Camp, each day will be  adventure-filled with a variety of fun activities. From arts and crafts to target sports, our camps are designed to give each camper a sense of Belonging, Achievement, and Relationship Building.  Call (317)484-9622 or visit  indymca.org/camp to register.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

In 2008, the YMCA of the USA partnered with LIVESTRONG® to help cancer survivors begin the journey toward recovery with the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. Part of the Y’s commitment to strengthening community through healthy living, the program offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person-not the disease. The free, 12–week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease survivors back into fitness and help maintain a healthy weight. Read more…
