To some, we’re virtually synonymous with swimming—and for good reason. Since the first YMCA swimming bath opened in 1885, we’ve been a pioneer in swimming education. Today, the YMCA has literally taught millions of people to swim, and is the largest collective operator of swimming pools in the world.

That’s not all. Our instructors are all YMCA certified, and our student-instructor ratio is lower than national guidelines. Of course, as part
of every class we emphasize our four core values of Caring, Honesty,
Respect and Responsibility.
