Calling All High School Students
Youth & Government is a statewide educational program involving 8th-12th grade students in a “hands-on” educational experience. YMCA Youth & Government educates students in leadership and the democratic process. Teen delegates write bills, prepare briefs, elect leadership positions and attend a statewide conference. The program reaches its peak in Indianapolis at the State House with the convening of a three day Model Legislature and Court. There, ‘real’ government moves over, and teen delegates take over using the historic halls, chambers and offices of our State Capitol and Supreme Court. For more information about this program and how to get your teenager involved, contact Marissa Mohammed at 765-535-7922.
