Healthy Kids Day

Get out and play at the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day sponsored by St. Vincent Health!  The event will be held Saturday, April 28 from 10 am.-1 pm.  Healthy Kids Day is open to all.  This is the Y’s largest health-focused day for children and families.

Studies show that kids who consistently engage in play are happier and healthier, and develop and enhance a variety of skills including motor skills, social skills, problem solving, and creativity.  Experts recommend that kids engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day, which often results in higher self-esteem and better academic performance.

In addition to a fun-filled day of health education and fun, families can also receive information about summer camp, swim lessons and other Y programs!  The Y’s youth programs do more than support strong bodies–they’re designed to help shape kids’ character too!

For more information about Healthy Kids Day contact your local Y branch or visit www.indymca.org
