It’s TURKEY TIME: 4th Annual Wishbone 5k on November 27

It will be here before we know it!  Join us for the 2014 Wishbone 5k, on Thursday, November 27 and be a part of our largest annual event.  Registration has begun, and space is filling quickly.  Please register early to secure your spot  This great family event is open to everyone!  REGISTER TODAY AT THIS LINK!

$25.00 gets you entry into this year’s event and a long sleeve tech running shirt.  Family of 4 is just $80.  This year’s packet pick up will be combined with a special family  fun night on Wednesday, November 26.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Teri Apple, race coordinator, at tapple@indymca.org

VO2 TESTING HAS ARRIVED!

Train SMARTER, not harder!  In the past, VO testing has only been available at hospitals and universities, but now CardioCoach brings this technology to the Fishers YMCA!  Now, you can GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR WORKOUT and DECREASE FATIGUE AND INJURY.  Find out more about how YOU can get VO2 tested by downloading this trifold or contacting Teri Apple, Personal Training Coordinator: tapple@indymca.org

Lost and Found Items

If you lose something in the Fishers Y, feel free to stop by the Hospitality Desk to see if someone has turned it in.  Because of the large number of items collecting in lost and found, we will donate lost and found items to the AmVets organization.  The AmVets will pick up items the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

Get Connected at the Fishers Y

Would you like to get connected with other members and/or staff who share your interests?  We have many small communities formed – or forming – here at the Fishers Y!  Opportunities include:

  • a running club,
  • a cycling club,
  • a book club,
  • Silver Sneakers,
  • several Bible Studies,
  • Adult Sports,
  • Y-Led Classes (such as Women on Weights),
  • and many more!
