Labor Day Center Hours

The Benjamin Harrison YMCA will open on Monday, September 1st (Labor Day) from 7 am to 5 pm.  Child Watch Services will be available from 8 am to 1:30 pm

Senior Health Fair

The Benjamin Harrison YMCA will host their Second Annual Senior Health Fair!

Exciting vendors will participate!  Free hearing exams and free flu shots.  Home health care vendors, American Senior Communities, Freedom Services, and many others!  Mayor Jessup of Lawrence, Fire & Crime Watch!

Join us on Monday, August 25th from 10 am to 1 pm.

This is a FREE Community Event!

Preschool Enrichment Program

Join our new “Growing Minds” Program!  For ages 2-5 and 6-10 beginning August 25th!

Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30 pm (ages 2-5)
Monday-Friday 4:30pm-8:30 pm (ages 2-10)

You can choose from 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x/week options!

Where:  The Benjamin Harrison YMCA (back of Child Watch)
Fees:    Fees cover the entire 8 week session

Looking for Donations!

Do you have toys and other items your child is no longer interested in? The Benjamin Harrison’s Preschool Enrichment Program is in need of donations!

The specific items we are needing are:

Pool Cleaning

Please know that the indoors pool will be closed for cleaning on the following dates:

Recreational Pool:  8/14/2014 at 8 pm thru 8/19/2014 at 5:30 am

Lap Pool:  8/19/2014 at 12 pm thru 8/25/2014 at 5:30 am

We appreciate your patience as we clean our pools and get them ready for the Fall!

Summer Bash

Don’t miss the party of the summer!  Enjoy delicious dinner, drinks, and dancing!  The Benjamin Harrison YMCA’s Summer Bash is held each year to raise funds for the Y’s Annual Campaign.  Funds from the campaign allow individuals and families to participate in the YMCA programs who would not otherwise be able to participate.

This year, we will have our event at The Garrison on Thursday, August 28th from 6-9 pm.

Child Watch Renovations

Our Child Watch area will be closed for renovations from July 21st  until August 8th and all services will be moved to the primetime area.   Please know that primetime will be closed for general use and only children in Child Watch or being supervised by an adult may play in primetime.

Doggie Dig Vendor Information Sheet

The Benjamin Harrison YMCA Doggie Dip invites the community to wrap up the dog days of summer with their favorite K9 friends! Participants can show their best doggie-paddle & join us for one last dip before the outdoor pool closes for the season! JOIN US NOW!

Farmers Market

Every Thursday afternoon, the Benjamin Harrison YMCA will have a Farmers Market in the Parking lot to sell fresh fruits and vegetables. We are very excited to have this back for our members and this community! From July 10th until mid September!

New Swim Lessons on Sundays!

This summer we will be offering swim lessons for your children on Sundays!  We have classes for both preschoolers and youth starting at 3 pm. 

Have you ever considered a private swim lesson for you or your child?  Receive one-on-one lessons from a certified instructor.  Perfect for those looking for individualized instruction or those with physical disabilities or special needs such as fear of the water.  Lessons are scheduled to the availability of the participant and the instructor.  Register at member services today!
