Abraca-Family Night!

Join us for a magic night on Friday, November 7 from 6 to 8 pm.  Magical Presentations will be here to perform magic and trick for the entire family.  The event is FREE for members. 

Want to be a lifeguard?

Prepare for a future in lifeguarding! join us for a YMCA lifeguarding course and become certified in lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid and Oxygen. Anyone ages 16 and older are invited to attend. Cost is $264 for members and $354 for non-members. Register at the Member Services Desk today!

One-of-a-kind preschool programs start here!

Enrich your preschooler’s learning with our unique programs: Creative Cooking and Sensational Science.  Sign up for one or both!  In Sensational Science, children’s curiosity will be nurtured by exploring and discovering scientific methods, performing experiments, and drawing conclusions about the different areas of science. Sensational Science meets Wednesdays from 11:40 am to 12:10 pm.  Children will learn to cook easy-to-prepare foods for the family in our Thursday preschool enrichment class: Creative Cooking.  Bring your kiddo from 11:40 am to 12:10 pm to learn new recipes each week, table manners and etiquette. Cost is $30 for members and $50 for non-members. Sign up at the Member Services Desk today!

Nutrition Workshop

Nutrition is a key part of a healthy lifestyle. Through a series of 7 classes, we can help put the pieces together!  Get all of your nutrition-related questions answered by the YMCA’s Registered  Dietitian, Lauren Collins.  This class is FREE for members and $20 for non-members.  Class begins Tuesday, October 28 and Friday, October 31.  For a complete list of class discussions and times, click here.  Register at the front desk.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

In 2008, the YMCA of the USA partnered with LIVESTRONG® to help cancer survivors begin the journey toward recovery with the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. Part of the Y’s commitment to strengthening community through healthy living, the program offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person-not the disease. The free, 12–week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease survivors back into fitness and help maintain a healthy weight. Read more…
