We’re improving your experience

Our Indoor Pool has hosted many swim lesson sessions, lap swims, water exercise classes and open swim times over the past year.  To keep it in tip-top shape, we complete an annual maintenance on the pool each August.  This year, we are giving it a little extra attention and shutting it down for the entire month from August 1 – 31.  While we understand this is inconvenient for many of our members, we hope that you will find the end result to be worth-while.  Please consider visiting our Outdoor Pool during that time.

Arthritis Class will be cancelled during the month of August.  Participants are welcome to walk laps in the Outdoor Pool or participate in our other water exercise classes outside.
AOA 8:35 am classes will meet outside
Water Fitness 9:30 am classes will meet outside
Shallow Water Fitness/Deep Water Fitness 7 pm classes will meet outside
Swim Lessons and WAVES will take place outside
Aqua Zumba classes will still take place outside

Thank you for your patience during this time!  If you have any questions or concerns, please call 317.881.9347.

Swim Lessons Cancelled

The Make Up Swim Lessons at 5:00pm and 6:15pm for the Pool Party on Tuesday, July 14th will be cancelled due to weather. Those lessons will be made up on Friday July 31st at their regular scheduled time. For more information please contact Wendy Medeiros @ 317-865-6472

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

In 2008, the YMCA of the USA partnered with LIVESTRONG® to help cancer survivors begin the journey toward recovery with the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. Part of the Y’s commitment to strengthening community through healthy living, the program offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person-not the disease. The free, 12–week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease survivors back into fitness and help maintain a healthy weight. Read more…
