Functional Movement Screens
Get reliable information from a board certified Physical Therapist right here at the Y! Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers will be here to answer your questions and perform free Functional Movement Screens on Monday, December 9th 9-11a and Monday, December 23rd 5-7p. Functional Movement Screens take 15 minutes and identifies mobility and stability challenges and other functional limitations that may lead to injuries. Accelerated Rehabilitation also specializes in Lymphedema treatment, men’s and women’s health rehabilitation, headache rehabilitation, and TMJ. Aqua Zumba Schedule Change
For the next 4 weeks (Nov 25-Dec 20), Aqua Zumba will be on Friday evenings from 5:45-6:45p instead of Tuesday. After that date, classes will resume as regularly scheduled.
OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Training
The YMCA Mini-Marathon Training Program can help you achieve your goal of crossing the finish line after 13.1 miles. Whether you are running , walking, or just want to get in better shape, this proven training program includes all the race preparations you need to complete a half marathon. This special 15-week program includes:
- 3 days/week training led by YMCA coaches
- Technical T-shirt
- Running and Walking mileage plans
- Expert speakers/materials on topics such as nutrition, injury prevention and more
- Special access to a post race catered tent in Military Park!

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
In 2008, the YMCA of the USA partnered with LIVESTRONG® to help cancer survivors begin the journey toward recovery with the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. Part of the Y’s commitment to strengthening community through healthy living, the program offers adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person-not the disease. The free, 12–week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease survivors back into fitness and help maintain a healthy weight. Read more…
