Ease Your Suffering from Arthritis with Enhance Therapy

Is arthritis preventing you from living a healthy, active lifestyle? More than 50 million Americans have been diagnosed with some form of arthritis, and arthritis is the most common cause of disability in our country today.  The YMCA at the Athenaeum is offering Enhance®Fitness – an evidence-based program designed specifically for adults suffering from arthritis. Class will meet three times per week for 60-minute total-body workouts. Each class will include cardio, strength and flexibility exercises that can be performed seated or standing. An independent study of Enhance®Fitness showed participants experienced 52% improvement in depression, 35% improvement in physical functioning and 13% improvement in social functioning. You may have missed the informational meeting but you can still learn more about it by contacting Katelyn Ryan at kryan@indyca.org or 317-713-8547.

Leave a Legacy

Many of us have Y stories.  We learned to swim at the Y as kids.  We participated in a youth basketball league, or we enrolled our children in summer camp.
Even so, many people get only a small glimpse of what the Y does.  During my 17 years working for the Y,  I’ve had a chance to see what we really accomplish as a nonprofit in Indianapolis.  We give everyone a chance to get healthier, help kids learn and graduate from school, and teach lessons about core values and leadership.  When these things happen, everyone in the community wins, including you and I.   That’s why I give something back to the YMCA out of each paycheck.  It’s important to me . . . important enough that I hope you’ll think about joining me with a donation today.
Make a world of difference for someone right here in our community.

Refer A Friend

Did you know about our Refer-a-Friend Program? If you refer someone and they join, YOU receive a $25 program credit to use for any of our programs or child watch services!  How cool is that?!
