Spring is almost here! Now is the time that we start putting away our sweaters and let our minds drift to places with sandy beaches and palm trees. Unfortunately, the ocean isn’t right at our disposal, so lets bring the ocean to us! Let’s enjoy some seafood and sushi at 45 on Mass Ave! Not a seafood lover, they have other options too! Feel free to wear your shorts and flip flops too! Please sign up on the RSVP sheet in the wellness center.
March Y Readers Club
Tuesday, March 25 6 – 7 p.m. @ Athenaeum
For the month of March we will be reading The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. Winner of the 2013 Man Booker Prize, The Luminaries is a breathtaking feat of storytelling where everything is connected, but nothing is as it seems.
“A wildly brilliant and precocious first novel” and Joshua Ferris called “a mesmerizing, labyrinthine, intricately patterned and astonishingly original novel.” – The New York Times Book Review
Leave a Legacy
Many of us have Y stories. We learned to swim at the Y as kids. We participated in a youth basketball league, or we enrolled our children in summer camp.
Even so, many people get only a small glimpse of what the Y does. During my 17 years working for the Y, I’ve had a chance to see what we really accomplish as a nonprofit in Indianapolis. We give everyone a chance to get healthier, help kids learn and graduate from school, and teach lessons about core values and leadership. When these things happen, everyone in the community wins, including you and I. That’s why I give something back to the YMCA out of each paycheck. It’s important to me . . . important enough that I hope you’ll think about joining me with a donation today.
Make a world of difference for someone right here in our community.
Refer A Friend
Did you know about our Refer-a-Friend Program? If you refer someone and they join, YOU receive a $25 program credit to use for any of our programs or child watch services! How cool is that?!
