Meditation Thursdays
Looking for a way to relax during your busy week? Look no further, the Y @ the A is now offering a meditation class! This is a FREE class offered on Thursday afternoons from 12 – 12:45pm. This class takes you through several relaxing practices that help to ease your mind and breath easier. Interested? Please inquire at the front desk. No sign up is necessary!
Ballroom Dancing
Looking for an evening out on Friday nights? Join our Ballroom dance class on Friday evenings from 7pm – 8pm! This is a great opportunity for you to enjoy a fun filled evening with others and learn how to dance! Childwatch is available as well! If you are interested please sign up at the front desk.
Tumbling Tots
The new session for Tumbling Tots begins on February 27th! Sign up today at the front desk for our Monday or Tuesday class from 10am -10:45am. Ages 2 – 4. This is a class your little ones will definitely enjoy!

With over 40 pieces of cardio equipment, a full line of Cybex VR3 strength equipment, free weight equipment, and FREE group exercise classes, there’s something for everyone. Whether you are looking to continue a workout that you have already established or you are seeking to start something new, the Y @ the Athenaeum is the place for you. Come check us out, we are here for all your health and wellbeing needs!

Guest Passes
The YMCA at the Athenaeum welcomes all out town guests! We are very excited to show off our center. Guest pass are $10 per day. If you would like to purchase multiple days in advance, please let us know upon your first visit. We ask that all guests bring a valid government issued photo ID. Visiting Indy, and have a Y membership at home? Visit our Y 5 times for free, then pay only $5.
February Child Watch
Childwatch February Theme – The Heart
Not only is the heart a icon of the Valentines Day season but it is also an excellent learning tool for our Y kiddos this month. Your kids will learn all about their heart. They will listen to their own heart beats before and after exercise, make heart shaped cards and crafts, and talk about their feelings. To wrap up the month we will finish our monthly theme with “My Body”, learning all about what our bodies can do!

Introducing four new fitness programs!
Tumbling Tots
Kids will most certainly walk away happy and confident after taking one of our tumbling classes. Participants will learn creative movements while building self-confidence, coordination, discipline and positive self esteem. Class meets 45 minutes 1x a week for 7 weeks.

Y 30 A
Exercise with us 5 days a week for 30 minutes by continuously challenging your muscles to adapt. Since this program is based upon constant changes, your body will continue to shed fat and build muscle as it tries to catch up to the routine, and then we change it up. Begins the first Monday of each month and runs 4 weeks.

Mini Marathon Training Program; Starts Tuesday Jan 10th
Are you thinking of running the Mini Marathon? If so, we have the trianing program for you! This proven 17 week training program includes 3x week running a 1x week cross training day. Mileage plans, nutrition, injury prevention, and all the training and race preparations you need from the best professionals in Indianapolis. Training program registration does not include race registration.

TRX Suspension Training
The TRX Suspension Trainer is designed to build power, balance, strenth, and flexibility for people of all ages and at all finess levels. Whatever your objectives, the TRX staff are committed to helping you get stronger and reach your fitness goals. Feel confident with the small group exercise course.
