The program also helps to develop an attitude of self-help, confidence, leadership skills, self-esteem and lifelong friendships.
Indiana politicians are also able to support the Y’s Youth and Government Program by sponsoring their political seat for one of the youth who will be participating in the weekend event. Sponsorships are $100 and the following government officials have taken the lead in this initiative by sponsoring their seats: Rep. Ed Delaney, Sen.
