Know Your Risks for Prediabetes on Diabetes Alert Day
Tuesday, March 27, is Diabetes Alert Day, and the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis wants residents to be aware of their risk for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes and preventative steps they can take today to reduce that risk. Currently, nearly 26 million Americans have diabetes and a staggering 79 million people have prediabetes, a condition where blood glucose is elevated, but not high enough to be diagnosed with diabetes. New Eqiupment at Ransburg YMCA as Featured on NBC’s “Biggest Loser”
The Ransburg YMCA is the first fitness facility in the Midwest to offer ViPR. As seen on NBC’S “The Biggest Loser”, ViPR is a resistance based workout that incorporates every muscle in the body. The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is inviting the community to its 44th Annual Good Friday Breakfast, which is being held at 7:30 a.m., April 6, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Blue Ribbon Pavilion, 1202 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis.
